Renata Amaral

Renata Amaral is an experienced sustainability professional with a diverse background in project management and environmental research. Currently serving as Gerente de Sustentabilidade at GPA since June 2017, Renata has also held roles as Coordenadora de Sustentabilidade e Investimento Social and Analista de Projetos. Prior experience includes positions as Coordinador de Projetos at Viva Bairro! and Pesquisadora de Consumo Sustentável at Idec - Instituto Brasileiro de Defesa do Consumidor. Renata's career began at Giral Viveiro de Projetos as Coordenadora de Projetos and involved a technical consultancy role in an international cooperation project between the University of São Paulo and the Autonomous University of Madrid. Renata holds a degree in Engenharia Ambiental from USP and has furthered studies in Ciências Ambientais at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Renata's expertise extends to environmental education, waste management, and socio-environmental themes, contributing significantly to various sustainability initiatives.
