Jon-Mikel Whalen

Jon-Mikel Whalen, CZO, currently serves as Planner III/Plan of Development Administrator for Goochland County, Virginia, since August 2023, overseeing the Plan of Development process within the Planning Department. Previously, Jon-Mikel was a Plan Reviewer for Fluvanna County Government from December 2020 to August 2023, where responsibilities included managing transportation projects and securing funding from VDOT programs. Before that, a role as Geographic Information Systems Specialist at Tellus Agronomics involved developing tools to enhance workflows and data processing. Jon-Mikel's career began at ECS Limited as a Field and Laboratory Technician, conducting material testing and producing technical reports. Jon-Mikel holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Geospatial Studies from the University of Mary Washington, completed in 2014.
