Josh Carney has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Josh is currently serving as the President of Gregory P. Luth & Associates, Inc since March 2022.
Previously, Josh worked as the National Sales Manager - Cast in Place at Insteel Industries, Inc from January 2020 to March 2022. In this role, they successfully managed a multi-disciplinary team, leading them through process and technology transformations while achieving revenue growth of over 100% in the first year. Josh also handled sales strategy and recruiting for a high growth division, contributing to long-term organizational growth.
Prior to their tenure at Insteel Industries, Inc, Josh was the Principal of Carney Engineering Group Inc. from January 2009 to April 2021. During their time there, they established and grew the firm from its inception to a team of 10 professionals. Josh focused on developing BIM capability and expertise in the use of HD laser scans integrated with BIM. Josh successfully delivered over 100 projects of varying sizes to clients across the East Coast.
From May 1999 to January 2009, Josh served as the Department Manager - Structural Engineering at C.S. Davidson Inc. Josh'sresponsibilities included designing commercial buildings, with project types ranging from K-12 schools to manufacturing facilities. Josh also oversaw forensic structural engineering performed by the firm.
Josh's earlier work experiences include working as a Design Engineer at Shuck Britson Inc. from 1995 to 1999 and as a Structural Designer at Nutec Design Inc. in 1995.
Josh Carney received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State University. Josh attended the university from 1990 to 1994.
