Edward Tian

Edward Tian is currently the CEO of GPTZero, a company dedicated to preserving human qualities. Prior to their current role, they worked as a researcher at Princeton University's NLP Lab, conducting research on generative model performance and AI identification. Edward also worked as an Investigative Journalist at BBC Africa Eye, where they were a core team member on several investigations. Edward has also held roles as a Contributing Writer and Technology Intern at Bellingcat, and as Head of Data and Software Engineer at Representable.org. Edward began their career as a Data Science Intern at Andela, where they worked on building a data analytics platform and conducting surveys in East Africa.

Edward Tian holds a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree from Princeton University. Edward also received a High School Diploma from the University of Toronto Schools. In 2018, they attended the Tsinghua University International Summer School.
