An Tran

An Tran is an experienced Lead Data Scientist at Grab since October 2018, specializing in computer vision algorithms and pipelines for Geo/Map applications, with a focus on machine learning on Edge. Prior to this, An Tran served as a Data Scientist at Grab and as a Computer Vision/Deep Learning Scientist at AIQ, where efforts included enhancing C++ computer vision codebases and scaling architecture using Kubernetes. An Tran completed a Ph.D. in Computer Vision and Machine Learning at the National University of Singapore, where research was conducted from August 2012 to August 2017. Additionally, An Tran has experience as a Software Developer at Softfoundry and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from HCMC University of Technology. Academic pursuits also included a bachelor's thesis in Computer Network at Université Côte d'Azur.
