Steve Coast is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the Head of Engineering for Geo Innovation at Grab since March 2022. Previously, Coast founded the OpenStreetMap project and played a pivotal role in its development from August 2004 to January 2016, first as Founder and later as Chairman and Chairman Emeritus. Additional experience includes serving as Vice President on the Mountain Middle School Board from August 2022 to August 2023, as VP Community at Tom from April 2019 to January 2022, and as Senior Manager at DigitalGlobe from October 2017 to April 2019, where coast managed senior-level projects in digital mapping. Coast holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from University College London, earned between January 1999 and January 2005.
