Suzanne Nam has a diverse work experience in various sectors. Suzanne started their career at the Mona GeoInformatics Institute as a Project Manager, where they supervised GIS and software development projects. Suzanne then worked as an Environmental Consultant/Project Support at The Carbon Hub. In 2010, they joined the Jamaica Environment Trust, where they held roles such as Programme Director, Deputy CEO, and eventually Chief Executive Officer. Suzanne'sresponsibilities included strategic planning, creative direction of campaigns, fundraising, and external communications. Currently, they are the Head of Corporate Communications at GraceKennedy Ltd., where they are responsible for managing group public relations and positioning the conglomerate's food and financial services businesses in traditional and digital media.
Suzanne Nam has a diverse education history. Suzanne obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from The University of the West Indies, Mona in an unknown year. Suzanne then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree at the same institution with a major in Geography and a minor in Geology from 2003 to 2006. Following this, they attended the University of Oxford from 2007 to 2008, where they earned an MSc in Environmental Change and Management. Suzanne also holds additional certifications, including the Wharton ESG Executive Certificate for Strategists Program and the Wharton ESG Essentials Program from Wharton Executive Education, both obtained in 2023. Suzanne is also certified as a Change Practitioner by Prosci in 2021 and has completed the Georgetown Leadership Seminar at Georgetown University in 2016.
