Davinder Somal

Davinder Somal, CPA, has a diverse range of work experience in various leadership roles. Davinder started their career as an Accounting Manager at Velocity Express in 1999 and then moved on to become an Assistant Controller at Equinox Fitness in 2001 until 2004. At Equinox, they played a key role in doubling the number of club locations and increasing revenues to $150 million.

From 2005 to 2012, Davinder worked at Ricky's NYC, where they initially served as the Corporate Controller and later became the CFO and Vice President of Finance. During their time at Ricky's NYC, they centralized financial planning, reducing costs by $1 million annually, and implemented the company's first-ever accounting system. Davinder also achieved process improvements, reducing sales reconciliation time significantly.

In 2012, Davinder held CFO positions at both LittleMissMatched and Gracious Home. LittleMissMatched is a brand that started with non-matching socks and expanded into apparel, accessories, and home décor. Gracious Home is a luxury retailer specializing in bed & bath linens, textiles, housewares, and home furnishings.

Throughout their career, Davinder has consistently demonstrated their expertise in finance and accounting, contributing to the success and growth of the companies they have worked for.
