Richard Bateman

Lead Software Architect at GradeCam

Richard Bateman has worked in the software engineering and electrical systems architecture fields since 2000. In 2003, they began working at Sparky Industries as an Electrical Systems Architect, where they designed and developed a camera surveillance system for use in police cars. From 2000-2009, they worked at The Center for Leadership Solutions as a Web Developer, where they maintained and helped build many web-based systems and implemented the core framework for many projects. In 2008, they began working at Move Networks as a Software Engineer, where they developed a cross-platform browser plug-in framework in C++ that works on Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Opera on Windows and all major browsers on Mac. In 2009, they founded HamStudy.org and began working as a Principle Developer and Project Manager for FireBreath Development Team. In 2010, they worked at OpenSky as a Contract Software Engineer, at nuMetra, Inc. as a Software Engineer, and at Facebook as a Contract Software Engineer. In 2011, they began working at GradeCam as a Lead Software Architect, where they assisted in expanding core features, resolving critical installation problems, providing needed support for customers, and overall helping to build an already great system to be even better. Richard also works at Richard Bateman, LLC as a Software Engineer when time permits.

Richard Bateman attended Orem Senior High School from 1999 to 2001. Richard then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Utah Valley University, which they completed in 2011.
