Ouwen Huang

President, Chief Scientific Officer at Gradient Health

Ouwen Huang has a long history of work experience in the field of health and data science. In 2018, they served as President and Chief Scientific Officer at Gradient Health, Inc. and as an Associate Instructor at Duke University, where they prepared a data engineering course for Duke's upcoming concentration in health data science. From 2014-2018, they were Co-Founder and CTO of FarmShots, a platform which delivers satellite imagery analyses to agronomists. Ouwen also worked as a researcher at Vanderbilt University in 2014, and as a student researcher at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and at UTHSCSA in 2013 and 2011, respectively. At UTHSCSA, they worked with Dr. Shuo Chen to isolate protein fragments important in the formation of enamel and tested to see if these different fragments had any interaction with one another.

Ouwen Huang attended Duke University from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Ouwen then went on to attend Duke University School of Medicine, where they are currently pursuing a dual MD and PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
