Chris Maderia is an experienced GIS scientist with a solid background in data analysis and environmental mapping. Currently working at Gradient since April 2022, Chris specializes in creating maps for air dispersion and electromagnetic field modeling, while managing large environmental databases using Microsoft Access and Python. Previous roles include a GIS Analyst/Developer at FM Global, where Chris digitized seismic hazard maps and wrote Python scripts for digital elevation model corrections, and a GIS Professional at Dewberry, where leadership and technical skills were utilized to manage teams and develop optimized data extraction scripts. Chris also brings experience from positions at Maxar Technologies, County of Henrico, USDA-ARS, and other organizations, complemented by a Master's degree in Geography with a focus on Climatology from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Brigham Young University.
