Thomas Watt has extensive work experience in the engineering and technology field. Thomas is currently the Chief Engineering Officer at Gradient, a company focused on developing advanced Heat Pumps for residential buildings. Prior to this, Thomas worked at Tonal as the Vice President of Hardware Engineering, where they contributed to the development of an intelligent home gym system. Thomas also worked at Alcatel-Lucent as the Director of Professional Services and Software Development, where they established a Professional Services team and provided software services for web services creation. Thomas began their career at M/A-COM Wireless Systems as a Systems Engineer, where they contributed to the development of the OpenSky wireless network. Thomas Watt attended St George's School from 1987 to 1991, where they completed their high school education. Thomas then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Wireless Communications from the University of Victoria, graduating in 1996. In addition to their formal education, Thomas obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera, specifically completing the course taught by Andrew Ng from Stanford, in April 2017.
