Hans Dockter

Founder and CEO at Gradle

Hans Dockter is the founder and CEO of Gradle. Hans has also worked as a senior software developer for Volkswagen, Krugle, and JBoss.

Dockter began their career as a software developer for Volkswagen in August 2004. Hans later moved to Krugle in August 2006, where they worked on the company's search engine. In September 2007, they left Krugle to join JBoss, where they became the creator of JBoss-IDE.

Dockter is a passionate advocate for open source software and has been a major contributor to the Gradle open source project since its inception. Hans is also the author of "The Definitive Guide to Gradle", which is considered the authoritative reference on the subject.

Hans Dockter earned their diplom in physics from the University of Göttingen. Hans then spent time as a guest student at the University of Otago, also studying physics.
