Jim Hurne has a diverse work experience starting from 2003 and includes roles in various companies. Jim worked as a System Architect at ImageTech Systems from October 2003 to May 2008, where they designed and implemented Enterprise Content Management solutions, led and mentored the software development team, and set standards for software development. From 2008 to 2010, they served as a Senior Programmer Analyst at FedEx Ground, enhancing and maintaining FedEx Ground's Transportation Management System and designing and developing new applications. Jim then joined Vivisimo in February 2010 as a Senior Software Engineer, leading the design and development of connectors for the Velocity enterprise search engine and redesigning the connector API and SDK. Starting in June 2012, they worked at IBM as a Watson Discovery Technical Lead and Watson API Architect for nearly nine years. In this role, they designed and developed cloud services using IBM's Watson AI and Information Retrieval technology, guided the technical direction of Watson Discovery, and collaborated with a global team of engineers, developers, and researchers. Currently, they are employed at Gradle Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer.

Jim Hurne attended Messiah University from 1999 to 2003 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
