Soumitra Dutta

Soumitra Dutta serves as the Dean of Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford since January 2022, following roles as Dean Elect. Currently, Dutta is the Founding Advisor at Green Frontier Capital, India's first climate change-focused venture capital fund. Dutta also occupies the position of President at the Portulans Institute and is a member of the Board of Directors at Dassault Systèmes and ZS. As Chairperson of the Board for the Global Business School Network, Dutta contributes to global educational efforts. Prior to these roles, Dutta held significant positions at Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, including Dean and Professor of Operations, Technology and Information Management from July 2016 to January 2024. Dutta's earlier career at INSEAD spanned over two decades, where Dutta contributed to developing the eLab and leading research on technology and innovation. Dutta earned a Ph.D. and multiple master's degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
