Jaime Malatesta is a Senior Psychometrician and Research Manager at the Graduate Management Admission Council™ (GMAC™) since April 2021, leading item development and psychometric operations for the GMAT Focus Edition and NMAT exam. Prior to this role, Jaime served as a Research Scientist at the University of Iowa's Center for Advanced Studies in Measurement and Assessment, managing diverse, client-driven research initiatives focused on Generalizability Theory and Item Response Theory. Additional experience includes positions as an Associate Research Scientist at Pearson Education, Graduate Research Assistant at multiple University of Iowa centers, and roles at ACT and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Jaime holds a PhD in Educational Measurement and Statistics from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eckerd College.
