James Koiner is an experienced Senior Research Engineer at Graf Research since July 2019, specializing in advanced research methodologies. Prior to this role, James served as a Senior Software Engineer at Kollmorgen, where responsibilities included the development of firmware and automated test software for a next-generation servo drive platform, alongside managing CI/CD pipelines. Earlier, as a Software Engineer at MacAulay-Brown, Inc., James focused on software design for cyber and hardware security, particularly in FPGA firmware analysis and cyber threat detection. James also held the position of Senior Operations Engineer at Exelis, automating tests and processes in a production environment while managing various project aspects. James holds a Master's degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, both from Virginia Tech.
