Gill Wichi

Gill Wichi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the technology industry. Starting in 2000, they worked as a QA Engineer at Alcatel-Lucent, responsible for testing ATM and L2TP compliance. From 2003 to 2006, they served as a Datacenter Planner at Gaia Interactive, where they deployed infrastructure, introduced virtualization and networked storage, and improved growth through automation.

In 2007, Gill joined Pillar Data Systems as a Product Specialist for the Axiom Line, monitoring and providing first-line support for customer issues. They then moved on to SANRAD as a Product Specialist, reducing support response time and improving case closure rates.

From 2008 to 2015, Gill worked at NetApp as a Professional Services Consultant, where they advised large enterprises on storage strategies and oversaw the implementation of multi-petabyte architecture infrastructure. Following this, they joined InterVision Systems Technologies as a Professional Services consultant, delivering unified network, compute, and storage solutions to customers.

In 2018, Gill joined Western Digital as a Datacenter Systems Engineer, specializing in object storage solutions. They then transitioned to Micron Technology in 2020 as a Senior Technical Architect, leading technical resources and analyzing new market opportunities for DRAM and SSD-based products.

Most recently, Gill worked at Rahi as a Storage Solutions Architect, designing solutions for hyper-converged, hybrid, cloud, and on-prem infrastructure. They also provided technical expertise to account managers, ISRs, and conducted training on data storage, retention, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Currently, Gill is working at Graid Technology as a Storage Solutions Architect.

Gill Wichi has a diverse education history. Between the years 2002 and 2004, they attended San Jose City College, where they pursued a degree in Undergrad with a field of study in General Studies. Prior to this, in 1987 and 1988, they attended The City College of New York to study General Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Gill Wichi has obtained several certifications. They acquired the Nutanix Certified Systems Engineer - Core certification from Nutanix in July 2022. In August 2021, they completed various courses and obtained certifications from LinkedIn, including Learning Ansible, Learning Network Troubleshooting, Learning Terraform, Wireshark: Malware and Forensics, Agile Foundations, CompTIA Security+ (SY0-601) Cert Prep: 1 Threats, Attacks, and Vulnerabilities, Elasticsearch Essential Training, Enterprise Architecture Foundations, Learning REST APIs, Learning Splunk, and Turning Weaknesses into Strengths. Prior to this, in June 2021, Gill Wichi completed courses on Linux: Network Configuration, Programming Foundations: Beyond the Fundamentals, Programming Foundations: Fundamentals, and Python Quick Start. They also completed courses on Learning Linux Command Line, Learning Regular Expressions, and Linux Foundation Cert Prep: Network Security (Ubuntu) in May 2021.

Lastly, in February 2016, Gill Wichi earned the SolidFire CBSE certification from SolidFire, Inc. These certifications and courses indicate their commitment to continually expanding their knowledge and expertise in various areas.
