Aishwarya Arjunan has had a diverse range of work experiences in the genetic counseling and medical science fields. Aishwarya has worked at GRAIL, Inc. as a Senior Medical Science Liaison since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Myriad Genetics as a Senior Clinical Product Manager for Carrier Screening from January 2021 to April 2021, and as a Clinical Product Manager from July 2020 to January 2021. Aishwarya also worked at Counsyl as a Clinical Product Specialist for Carrier Screening from January 2019 to June 2020. Before transitioning into industry roles, Aishwarya gained clinical experience as a Genetic Counselor at the Center for Jewish Genetics from August 2013 to December 2015 and at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago from August 2013 to October 2015. Aishwarya began their career as a Genetic Counseling Intern at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh from December 2010 to July 2013, where they gained experience organizing counseling events, working with sickle cell disease research groups in India, and collaborating with various organizations. Aishwarya also has research experience from their time as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh, where they worked on the Oral Facial Cleft (OFC) Study, and as a Student Researcher at Case Western Reserve University, where they focused on isolating new mutations in the Drosophila melanogaster pps Gene. Aishwarya Arjunan completed their education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health and Case Western Reserve University. Aishwarya obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Case Western Reserve University in 2010. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Genetic Counseling/Counselor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health from 2011 to 2013. During the same period, they also completed a Master of Public Health degree in Human/Medical Genetics from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. Aishwarya also obtained a Certificate of Global Health from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health in 2013.
In terms of additional certifications, Aishwarya Arjunan became a Certified Genetic Counselor through the American Board of Genetic Counseling in February 2014. Aishwarya also obtained a Certification of Public Health from the National Board of Public Health Examiners in March 2013.
