Matt Larson

Senior Director, Research & Development at GRAIL

Matt Larson has an extensive work experience in the field of research and development. Matt started their career at Stanford University as a Biophysics PhD from September 2004 to October 2010. After that, they joined UCSF as a Postdoctoral Fellow from April 2011 to April 2015. In 2015, Matt joined Illumina as a Senior Scientist, working there for a year until March 2016.

In 2016, they started working at Grail, where they held multiple roles over the years. Their first role at Grail was as a Senior Scientist from March 2016 to July 2017. Matt then served as a Staff Scientist from July 2017 to March 2019. After that, they were promoted to an Associate Director position for Research & Development from March 2019 to September 2020. Matt further advanced their career at Grail, becoming a Director for Research & Development from September 2020 to May 2022. Currently, they hold the role of Senior Director for Research & Development at Grail, starting from May 2022.

Matt Larson attended The Ohio State University from 2000 to 2004, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Following this, they pursued further education at Stanford University from 2004 to 2011, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biophysics.
