Samantha Cooper

Samantha Cooper is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in bioinformatics and lab software systems engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Lab Software Systems Engineering at GRAIL, Inc., since July 2021, Samantha previously held the position of Technical Lead at Invitae from January 2018 to July 2021, where significant projects included the integration of a new LIMS platform and the rapid development of assays. Prior experience includes roles at Bio-Rad Laboratories, where Samantha managed computational biology teams and led digital PCR assay development, as well as positions at Illumina, UCSF, Roche Molecular Systems, RedSpark, Gatan Inc., Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and Financial Sciences. Samantha holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from UCSF and a BA in Physics from UC Berkeley.
