Tristan Matthews

Tristan Matthews is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in the technology and scientific sectors. Currently serving as Sr Director of Software Engineering at GRAIL, Inc., since July 2020, Tristan is focused on enhancing cancer screening technologies for early detection. Previously, as VP Engineering, Software & Systems at Synthego Corporation from October 2015 to July 2020, Tristan specialized in developing scalable data pipelines for scientific applications. Additional roles include positions at Voltaiq, Bay Sensors, and Northwestern University, where work involved advanced instrumentation for astrophysical research. Tristan holds a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Northwestern University and has a solid foundation in physics, with master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of California campuses.
