David Marchant

David Marchant has extensive experience in procurement and vendor management. David worked at BT for over 25 years, where they held various leadership roles. From 2010 to 2020, they served as the VP of Retail Procurement & Vendor Management, leading a team of 45 Commercial Managers. David was responsible for developing commercial strategies, managing contracts, and fostering relationships with major IT and mobile suppliers. Prior to that, from 1994 to 2010, they established and managed the ICT & CPE Procurement Unit, overseeing all IT and hardware requirements for BT Group. Additionally, they led a team of 60 procurement professionals across multiple locations. Currently, David Marchant holds the role of Commercial and Procurement Director at Grain Connect Limited, starting in 2020.

David Marchant attended the University of York from 1991 to 1994 and obtained a BA Hons degree in Economic & Social History. From 1997 to 1999, they attended Brookfield Technical College to pursue A Levels, although they did not obtain a specific degree at this institution. David also holds a certification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) with the designation of MCIPS.
