Managing Director at Grain Management

Chad Crank is the Managing Director at Grain Management. Chad has over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications, media, and technology (TMT) sector. Prior to joining Grain Management, Chad was the Managing Director and Head of TMT at Stephens Inc., where they closed over 50 M&A deals totaling over $100 Billion in transaction value. These deals include advising on some of the most notable industry transactions such as the largest telecom take private (Alltel ~$28 Billion), largest secondary spectrum sale (Verizon 700MHz ~$6 Billion) and first fiber/wireline REIT (Uniti Spin ~$9 Billion) as well as several financings. Chad is also an industry expert and board member for multiple successful private equity/family office principal investments totaling well over $1 Billion in value. Prior to Stephens Inc., Chad worked at Alltel in Corporate Strategy. Before their time in the corporate world, Chad served as a Company Commander in the US Army for five years.

Chad Crank has a bachelors in systems engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Chad also has a MBA in finance from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, a masters in public administration with a focus in economics from Harvard University, and a masters in engineering management with a focus in manufacturing engineering from Northwestern University.

Chad Crank reports to David J. Grain, CEO & Founder. They are on a team with Raghav Nayar - Principal, Jenny Kashdan - Principal, and Letti De Little - Chief Compliance Officer.
