Rhianwen Whitney

Rhianwen Whitney is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in various roles within the communications sector. Currently serving as a Communications Officer at the Grains Research and Development Corporation since December 2023, Rhianwen has a longstanding background with the University of Southern Queensland, holding multiple positions including Communications Coordinator and Research Communications Officer from April 2013 to November 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Journalist at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and as a Media Advisor for the Queensland Department of the Premier and Cabinet. Rhianwen began a career in journalism at Southern Cross Austereo as a Broadcast Journalist and News Reader. An academic background was established at the University of Southern Queensland, earning a Bachelor of Mass Communication with a focus on Journalism and Public Relations from 2007 to 2010.
