Aneel Kumar Ambavaram

Aneel Kumar Ambavaram serves as the Chief Functionary at Grameena Vikas Kendram since February 2011, leading efforts to empower rural communities while fostering sustainable practices. As the founder of Raddis® Cotton, Aneel pioneered a system promoting regenerative cotton cultivation in collaboration with 5500 tribal women farmers in Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, Aneel developed the Circular Cotton Cascade model to address waste and promote sustainability within the cotton industry. With a background as a social innovator, Aneel has created income opportunities for 7000 families by repurposing wasted agricultural products. Since January 2016, Aneel has also held the position of Managing Director at Yasasree Impex Pvt Ltd, a social enterprise focused on ethical production and sustainable impact. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Organic Agriculture from Wageningen University & Research, a Master Trainer degree from the FAO of the UN's Farmer Field School, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from SV Agriculture College, Tirupati.
