Ben MacKey

Ben Mackey is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in leadership and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Grammarly since March 2020, Ben has been instrumental in establishing the Grammarly Business engineering function, growing it to 40+ engineers across five teams. Prior to this role, Ben held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Foursquare from January 2014 to October 2019, overseeing multiple teams focused on consumer applications, API development, and R&D in location technology. Ben's career began at CSIRO as a Software Engineer, and previous experience includes a software engineering internship at Foursquare and a role as an Embedded Software Engineer at Transmax Pty Ltd. Ben holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications from Queensland University of Technology, earned between 2003 and 2006.
