Katja Berlin

Katja Berlin, PhD, is an accomplished data scientist currently employed at Grammarly since April 2020. Previously, Katja was a fellow at Insight Data Science, where a machine learning model was developed to predict transaction cancellations for a real-estate marketplace. At the Paul Drude Institut für Festkörperelektronik, Katja conducted doctoral research on the temperature stability of materials for data storage devices, utilizing advanced techniques such as transmission electron microscopy. Additional roles include a management consulting internship at McKinsey & Company and various positions in consulting and research, with a strong academic foundation in physics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and study experience at the University of Technology Sydney.
