Michael Haugan

Michael Haugan is an accomplished data science professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Manager of Data Science at Grammarly since November 2021, Michael previously held the position of Director of Data Science for the Americas at Kognitiv Corporation, where responsibilities included leading a team of 11 data scientists and analysts to develop and optimize loyalty programs for global brands. Prior experience includes roles at U.S. Bank as Data Science Lead and a series of positions at Target, culminating in Lead Data Scientist. Michael’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Data Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota.
