Granby Zoo
The Granby Zoo is the largest zoological garden in eastern Canada and is located in Granby, Quebec. It is one of Quebec's major tourist attractions. It was founded in 1953 by the mayor of Granby at the time, Pierre-Horace Boivin. There are currently more than 1000 different animals grouped into 200 species and the annual attendance is just under 600,000 visitors per year. Adjacent to the zoo is the Amazoo water park as well as an amusement park with many games, rides and attractions.
