David McGregor

David McGregor has a diverse and extensive work experience in the energy industry. David is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Emera Caribbean Inc. since September 2020. Prior to this role, they worked as the President of Grand Bahama Power Company starting from January 2018. David also served as the Chair of the Board of Directors at Dominica Electricity Services Ltd from April 2016 to March 2022.

From 2010 to 2017, David McGregor worked at Emera, where they held multiple leadership positions, including Vice President of Asset Management and Senior Project Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for managing Emera Caribbean's generation and transmission investments across various countries and implementing renewable energy solutions.

Before joining Emera, David held managerial roles at Nova Scotia Power, including General Manager of Technical & Construction Services and Senior Director of Technical Services. David also worked at ATCO Power Canada Ltd, where they served as Facility Manager at Brighton Beach Power Station and held various other positions such as Maintenance and Engineering Manager, Operations Manager, and Engineering Manager.

David McGregor began their career as a Plant Electrical Engineer at Rolls-Royce (NEI Parsons-Peebles).

David McGregor earned a BSc. (Hons) degree in Electrical-Electronic Engineering from The University of Edinburgh between 1985 and 1989.
