Kory Kirchner is an experienced professional in the fields of geology and education, currently serving as a Field Instructor at Grand Canyon Conservancy since September 2015, where Kory teaches courses on geology, ecology, and history. Previous roles include serving as a Geologist at the United States Geological Survey, where Kory supported geologic mapping efforts, and guiding educational trips for Grand Classroom and The Wildland Trekking Company. Kory's background also includes significant experience in youth leadership and environmental education at Camp Koochiching, as well as geological research and teaching at The University of Texas at Austin. Kory holds a Master of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from The University of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Northern Arizona University.
