Sarah Jane Schmidt

Sarah Jane Schmidt is an experienced Senior Data Scientist at Grandperspective GmbH since November 2022, specializing in the development of cloud-based pipelines for analyzing greenhouse gas concentrations. Prior to this position, Sarah served as a Data Scientist at everphone, where modeling market data for smartphone residual values and creating predictive algorithms were key responsibilities. Sarah also held postdoctoral research fellowships at the Leibniz-Institut für Astrophysik Potsdam and The Ohio State University, leading teams and innovating methodologies in astrophysics research. Early in career, Sarah worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Washington and the American Museum of Natural History, focusing on stellar magnetic fields and kinematic trends. Sarah earned a Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of Washington and a B.A. in Physics and Astronomy from Barnard College.
