Cheryl Garner

Cheryl Garner is an experienced educational professional currently serving as the Director and Student Navigator for Dual Enrollment and Early Middle College at Grand Rapids Community College since October 2022. Prior to this role, Cheryl held positions as Head Secretary at Grand Rapids Public Schools and Program Coordinator for the Summer Learning Academy at Grand Rapids Community College. With a background in alternative education as the Registrar for Grand Rapids Public Schools and experience as a Secretary/Registrar at Grand Rapids Learning Center, Cheryl contributed significantly to the educational sector from 2014 to 2021. Additionally, Cheryl served as a Trustee and former Board President for the Grandville Education Foundation from 2011 to 2019 and worked as an Assistant Property Manager at Dwelling Place of Grand Rapids, Inc. from 2010 to 2014. Cheryl Garner holds a Master of Education in Counselor Education from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Aquinas College.
