Jeff's earlier experience includes working at Georgia Power Company as a Senior Engineer in Protection and Control, where they developed relay solutions and issued P&C packages for distribution and transmission projects. Jeff was with the company from 2001 to 2006.

Before joining Georgia Power Company, Jeff worked at Duke Energy Corporation as an Engineer responsible for providing operational services and support. Jeff worked on developing integrated digital relay protection systems and supported field relay technicians in troubleshooting and setting relays. Jeff worked at Duke Energy from 1997 to 2001.

Prior to Duke Energy, Jeff worked at Synergetic Design, Inc. as an Associate Engineer. In this role, they worked as a consultant for Saluda River/New Horizon Electric Cooperative, developing relay protection philosophy and criteria, as well as performing fault studies and calculations. Jeff held this position from 1996 to 1997.

Jeff also has experience working at Dominion Virginia Power in multiple engineering roles. Jeff served as a Senior Engineer in Substation Maintenance and Support, where they oversaw the maintenance of digital and analog transient recorders and coordinated the reclosing times of transmission line breakers. Jeff was also an Engineer in Substation Operations and Maintenance, where they requested and oversaw SCADA requirements for construction projects and led the Substation Controller Committee. Jeff was with Dominion Virginia Power from 1991 to 1995.

Earlier in their career, Jeff worked at Dominion Virginia Power as an Engineer in System Protection Engineering. Jeff ordered materials for relay schemes, calculated settings for protective relays, and worked with field personnel to troubleshoot improper operations. Jeff held this position from 1986 to 1991.

Jeff Beasley, PE, MBA attended Auburn University from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Later, from 1990 to 1992, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at Virginia Commonwealth University, specializing in Business Administration and Management. In 2006, Jeff Beasley obtained the certification of Licensed Professional Engineer from the Georgia Secretary of State.
