Kiet N. has an extensive work experience in the field of transmission planning engineering. Kiet started their career at Burns & McDonnell in 2001, where they worked as a Transmission Planning Engineer on projects across North America, holding a Top Secret Clearance Level. Kiet then joined Northeast Utilities in 2003 as a Transmission Planning Engineer, where they were responsible for analyzing electric power system problems and recommending solutions based on various factors. In 2006, Kiet moved to Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc as a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer, conducting transmission planning studies and developing recommendations for the power system. Kiet returned to Northeast Utilities in 2009 as a Sr. Operations System Support Engineer, providing support for the CONVEX. Prior to their current role, Kiet worked at JB Consulting as a Sourcing Specialist. Since 2014, they have been with the Grand River Dam Authority as a Transmission Planning Engineer, starting as a Transmission System Planner and currently serving as the Principal Transmission Planning Engineer. In this role, they perform technical assessments and analyses of the GRDA transmission grid and generation facilities.
Kiet N. pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, completing the program between 1996 and 2001.
