Lisa Buttazzoni

Program Director Of Critical Care And Surgical Services at Grand River Hospital

Lisa Buttazzoni has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Lisa began their career as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Grand River Hospital in 2000 and worked in that role until 2013. During their time at Guelph General Hospital from 2013 to 2017, Lisa served as the Clinical Director of Critical Care, responsible for program development and implementing LEAN methodologies to improve patient outcomes and workflow processes. Lisa also worked as a Clinical Educator, providing leadership and enhancing the clinical expertise of nurses. Lisa then returned to Grand River Hospital in 2017 as the Clinical Manager of the Clinical Teaching Unit and Acute Care of the Elderly Unit. In 2019, Lisa assumed the role of Clinical Manager of Critical Care and Respiratory Services at Grand River Hospital, later transitioning to Program Director of Critical Care and Surgical Services. Lisa also served as the Interim Program Director for Medicine, Regional Stroke, Patient Access, and Flow from 2020 to 2021. Throughout their career, Lisa has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment to improving patient care and outcomes.

Lisa Buttazzoni received their Diploma in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Conestoga College in 2000. Lisa later pursued a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (Honors) at Ryerson University from 2009 to 2013. Most recently, they completed their Masters in Health Systems Leadership and Administration, specializing in Nursing Administration, from the University of Toronto between 2014 and 2016. Additionally, Lisa has obtained a Lean Yellow Belt certification.
