Payal Agarwal

Payal Agarwal currently serves as the Integrated Chief Information and Innovation Officer at both Grand River Hospital and St. Mary's General Hospital since August 2022, while also holding the position of Medical Director, Digital at the Centre for Effective Practice since October 2021. Additionally, Payal has been an Innovation Fellow and Family Physician at Women's College Hospital since May 2014, where Payal also holds the title of Medical Director for Virtual Clinics. Previous roles include Patient Experience Lead at the University of Toronto's DFCM from July 2019 to March 2022, Hospitalist at CAMH from June 2013 to September 2020, and Product Director at InputHealth from April 2014 to September 2015. Early career experience includes a Program Manager Intern role at Microsoft Corporation and research in orthopedic biomechanics at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Payal holds a Doctor of Medicine and a Master's in Health Services Research from the University of Toronto, in addition to a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
