An IT specialist, payment consultant, and a financial technology expert with vast years of practical experience in several fields, with an intense balance of technical ability and business experience gained through years of entrepreneurial activities. Bunmi has held Principal position in two technology firms over the last seven years and has a wealth of Technical experience through 17years of experience in IT consulting and software product development.

Bunmi has incubated and founded over 10 fintech focused technology companies, in the United States and in Africa, including, Venture Garden Group where he currently serves as the Group CEO since 2010. Venture Garden Group is capitalized with US$35m from Convergence Partners (a South African based VC backed by IFC, CDC, FMO). He was the CEO of Enliven Software up until 2011; a Partner at Artemis Solutions Group, Inc. and Nuwave Technology Partners, Inc. between 1998 and 2006.

Bunmi has worked with a very diverse client base across many industries using wide variety of cutting- edge tools. Even as a manager, he remains very versatile, leveraging skill-set obtained from years of experience and learning new ones along the way, to effectively lead teams of solutions architect and product development.

In 2017, Bunmi was nominated as one of the top 100 Most Influential People of Africa Descent in Business and Entrepreneurship by the United Nations In recognition of the International Decade for People of African Descent. Venture Garden Group received recognition in the same year by the British Parliament for contribution to transparency and good governance in Africa via Technology.

Bunmi is an alumnus of Michigan State University, East Lansing, where he bagged his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering in the year 2000, as well as an Executive MBA. He also was an Adjunct Lecturer, for the Executive MBA programme at Michigan State University in 2009.
