Paul Cheney

Paul Cheney, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has over 14 years of experience in human resources. Paul most recently served as the Senior Director of Human Resources at Grande Ronde Hospital, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were the Human Resources Director at Valley Family Health Care from 2021 to 2023. In this role, Paul was responsible for the overall administration and evaluation of the human resources functions for the organization. From 2016 to 2021, they worked as the Senior HR Business Partner - Colleague and Labor Relations at Saint Alphonsus, where they developed colleague engagement strategies and facilitated leadership training courses. Paul began their career as an HR Manager at Lowe's Home Improvement, where they focused on staffing, recruiting, and employee relations. Throughout their career, Paul has shown a commitment to strategic planning and employee engagement.

Paul Cheney, SPHR, SHRM-SCP holds a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership - HR Performance from Colorado State University Global, which they obtained from 2012 to 2015. Paul also earned a Bachelor of Science in HR Management from Boise State University in 2002-2003 and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Utah State University in 1990-1992. In addition to their education, they have obtained certifications including Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in July 2017 and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in July 2015.
