Donya Wilson

Donya Wilson has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Donya began their career as a Personal Lines Underwriter at Motorists Insurance Group in 1991. Donya then worked as an Actuarial Analyst at Motorists Mutual Insurance Company from 1994 to 2001, where they performed reserve and pricing analysis. Donya then joined Grange Mutual Insurance Company as a Senior Actuarial Analyst, contributing to the design and build of corporate reserving templates.

In 2006, they became an AVP in Corporate Actuarial Planning at Grange Mutual Casualty Companies, where they designed and built an enterprise planning model and led the annual planning process. Donya moved to Integrity Mutual Insurance Company in 2010 as Vice President of Personal Lines, developing and executing their business strategy.

Returning to Grange Mutual Insurance Company in 2012, Donya held various leadership positions, including Regional Vice President for the Southern Division, AVP Sales Strategy, and AVP Corporate Strategy. In these roles, they led cross-functional teams, developed corporate strategy, and built relationships with key agencies.

In 2017, they joined Grange Mutual Insurance Companies as AVP FP&A and Strategy, leading their corporate planning models and creating annual plans and forecasts. Donya then progressed to the role of Senior Financial Officer at Grange Mutual Casualty Company in 2020, where they provided financial oversight and guidance for various operations and led financial projects.

Currently, Donya is working at Grange Insurance as the VP of Enterprise Analytics, responsible for leveraging data and analytics to drive decision making and enable business growth.

Donya Wilson's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Economics from Denison University, which they obtained from 1987 to 1991. Donya also has an MBA from Capital University - School of Management, specializing in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services, earned from 2006 to 2009. In 2013, they completed a program on the financial approach to sales execution at Wharton Executive Education. Donya also pursued Actuarial Science at Casualty Actuarial Society from 1994 to 2006. Apart from their formal education, Donya has additional certifications in "Introduction to Prompt Engineering for Generative AI" and "What Is Generative AI?" obtained from LinkedIn in 2023. It is also worth mentioning that they hold the CPCU certification from AICPCU.
