Robert E. Hoyt

Robert E. Hoyt, Ph.D., has served on the Grange Insurance Company Board of Directors since 2011. He currently serves as chair of the Audit Committee and serves on the Capital and Finance, Executive, and Human Capital and Total Rewards Committees. Robert is the Dudley L. Moore, Jr. Chair and Professor of Risk Management and Insurance in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He has been a member of the UGA faculty since 1988 and has served as the Department Head for Insurance, Legal Studies, and Real Estate for the last 16 years. Rob also serves on the Board of Directors of the Journal of Insurance Regulation and on the editorial board of Risk Management and Insurance Review. He is a trustee of the Piedmont Athens Regional Foundation and a director of the Spencer Educational Foundation. Rob also serves on the boards of DIST-CO Risk Retention Group Board and GERIC, a captive insurance company.
