Roy Kidder has extensive experience in the field of data network engineering. Roy has worked in various companies and positions throughout their career. Starting from 1995, they worked at ConQuest Communications/SmarTalk Teleservices where they designed and maintained a computer network across multiple sites in the United States and England. Roy also managed Help Desk personnel and functions. From 1999 to 2004, they worked at CoreComm as a Data Network Engineer, responsible for the design, management, and maintenance of an enterprise-wide data network infrastructure. Roy oversaw security and connectivity to third-party companies and the Internet. At BelronUS/Safelite AutoGlass from 2004 to 2011, they served as a Senior Data Network Engineer, managing and maintaining a nationwide mixed-vendor data network. Roy handled numerous users and locations, including data centers, call centers, and retail stores. From 2011 to 2020, they worked at Thirty-One Gifts as a Senior Data Network Engineer, where they designed and managed a highly-available network supporting various corporate needs, call center operations, and manufacturing/warehousing needs. Their responsibilities included routing, switching, wireless, firewalling, and load balancing. Currently, they are employed at Grange Insurance as a Lead Network Engineer, responsible for the design and operation of their enterprise network. The network encompasses data centers, cloud regions, remote offices, and a large remote workforce due to the pandemic. The network architecture includes Nexus switching, Cisco routing, and F5 load balancers to deliver production applications.

Roy Kidder attended Otterbein University where they studied Business Administration and Computer Science. Roy also studied Culinary/Hotel Food & Beverage Management at Johnson & Wales University.
