Rene Aldous Pitogo is a skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in the mining sector. Currently serving as a Medium Term Planning Engineer at Grange Resources since April 2023, Rene has previously held significant roles, including Mine Engineering OIC and Mine Planning Section Head at Eramen Minerals Inc. from October 2020 to February 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing mine planning operations and ensuring compliance with production and shipment targets. Rene has also contributed to various engineering projects, served as a volunteer research assistant designing UVC disinfection chambers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and engaged in business development and technical roles across multiple companies in the mining industry. Rene holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering, both from the University of the Philippines.
Grange Resources
Grange Resources Limited owns and operates Australia's largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business located in the northwest region of Tasmania. The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine, 100km southwest of the city of Burnie, is a long life mining asset with current reserves estimated to extend the mine life to beyond 2035. At Port Latta, 70kms northwest of Burnie, is Grange Resources' wholly owned pellet plant and port facility producing over two million tonnes of premium quality iron ore pellets annually with plans to increase annual production in the coming years to 2.7 million tonnes. Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contract process.
