Johnson Tan

Johnson Tan is the Co-Founder and CEO of Granite River Labs. Johnson has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including executive and management positions at SMSC, Symbol Technologies, Ingersoll Rand, Mitsubishi Electric, Tsinghua University, and Tektronix.

Johnson received their undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Johnson then went on to earn their Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University.

Johnson's career began at Tektronix in 1991 as an engineer. In 1995, they moved to Tsinghua University as a researcher. Johnson then spent a year at Mitsubishi Electric as a researcher before joining Ingersoll Rand as the Operations & Technology Manager.

In 2001, Johnson left Ingersoll Rand to join Symbol Technologies as Business Development Manager. Johnson then spent 9 years at SMSC as Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Strategy before co-founding Granite River Labs in 2010.

Johnson Tan has a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a BS/MS in EECS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
