Alexander Judson Smith Ed.L.D. has extensive experience in the field of education, with a focus on promoting equity and improving learning outcomes for young learners. Alexander Judson is the Founder and Lead Instructor of the Bilingual Bridges ESL Program at the Granite School District, where they design and leads an integrated ESL and job skills program for careers in public transportation. Alexander Judson also founded Alexander Judson Smith Consulting, where they support equity-focused organizations in achieving breakthrough learning outcomes. At Lexia Learning, they serve as a LETRS Professional Learning Facilitator. Previously, they were the Senior Vice President of Education at Acelero Learning, where they developed an innovative literacy and numeracy curriculum supplement. Alexander Judson also served as the Global Director of Early Childhood Curriculum at Bridge International Academies, where they achieved significant student achievement increases. Additionally, they have worked at Manhattan Prep, Powered by Kaplan, as a GRE Instructor and Tutor, and at Denver Public Schools and the Massachusetts Executive Office of Education in various leadership roles. Alexander Judson also held positions at Teach For America, where they led special projects, designed a performance management system, and managed and coached teachers.
Alexander Judson Smith Ed.L.D. obtained a Doctor of Education Leadership (Ed.L.D.) degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Principal Certification: Early Childhood to 12th Grade from the University of St. Thomas (TX) between 2004 and 2006. Alexander Judson also holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education from the University of St. Thomas (TX), which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Before pursuing their Master's degree, they completed an Honors Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature, General, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Utah.
