Priyanka Thapa

Priyanka Thapa has a diverse work experience in the field of Building Information Modelling (BIM). Priyanka is currently working as a Project Engineer (3D & 4D BIM) at Granlund, where they focus on BIM data enrichment, BIM-based scheduling, and cost estimation. Priyanka'sresponsibilities also include developing BIM models of site logistics.

Prior to their current role, Priyanka worked as an Entrepreneur and Webshop owner at Gymfit Oy starting from January 2020. Before that, they worked at Byggnadsekonomi Oy Suomi as a BIM Coordinator/ Tietomalliasiantuntija and BIM Coordinator/ Tietomallikoordinaattori from April 2018 to February 2022.

In 2021, Priyanka served as a Teaching Assistant at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, supporting professors in Building Information Modelling (BIM) related courses. Priyanka'sresponsibilities included giving lectures, evaluating student assignments, and providing training on different BIM-related software.

Additionally, Priyanka was a Founding Member of Nepal BIM Forum from October 2018 to December 2019. Priyanka also worked as an Intern at Albert-ing (BIM consultant) from September 2017 to February 2018.

Priyanka has a strong educational background, having graduated from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences as an Alumni in February 2019.

Priyanka Thapa earned their Bachelor's degree in Civil and Sustainable building engineering from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Priyanka completed their studies from 2013 to 2017. Following this, they attended the BIM summer school in 2017 at Aalto University. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Digital Engineering at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, which is expected to be completed between 2021 and 2023.
