Communications Specialist at Granlund

Riikka Hauhia has a diverse work experience in communication roles. Riikka started their career as a Journalist at Ilta-Sanomat in 2001. Later, they worked as a Communications Trainee at Lindström Oy in 2003. In 2005, Riikka joined Veikkaus Oy as a Press Officer, handling internal and external communications. Riikka then moved to Espoon kaupunki in 2005 as a Web Information Officer, responsible for communication tasks. Riikka returned to Veikkaus Oy in 2006 and held various roles, including Communications Specialist, CSR Specialist, and Communications Specialist again. In these positions, they were involved in planning, coordinating, and implementing communication projects and strategies, including media relations, social media, press releases, crisis communications, product launches, annual reports, and website renovations. Currently, Riikka works as a Communications Specialist at Granlund, starting in 2021.

Riikka Hauhia's education history begins in the year 2000 when they pursued an undergraduate minor in Communication from Helsinki open university. In the same year, they also studied journalism at Helsingin kristillinen opisto. Moving forward, they joined Laurea from 2001 to 2005 and achieved a degree in Digital Communications and Organizational Communications as a Medianomi.

In 2011, Riikka attended Metropolia University of Applied Sciences for a course on Social media. Then, in 2016, they enrolled in AaltoPro for a CSR course. Lastly, from 2018 to 2021, Riikka studied at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Communications Management.

Alongside their educational qualifications, Riikka Hauhia obtained a certification in "Business and decent work: How enterprises contribute to achieve decent work for all (SDG 8)" from the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO) in October 2021.
