Grant Park Music Festival
Daniel Cloutier is a highly experienced trombonist, currently serving as a Substitute Trombone with The Philadelphia Orchestra, Chattanooga Symphony & Opera, and Huntsville Symphony Orchestra since late 2022. Additionally, Daniel holds the position of Principal Trombone at the Grant Park Music Festival since 2001. Previous roles include Acting Second Trombone with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Acting Principal Trombone with the Oregon Symphony, alongside various teaching positions at George Fox University, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Seton Hill University. Daniel's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Music Performance from Northwestern University and Carnegie Mellon University, respectively, as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts from West Virginia University.

For nearly 90 years, the Grant Park Music Festival has been Chicago’s summer musical sensation, demonstrating that classical music performed by a world-class orchestra and chorus can have a transformative impact on the city. Showcased in the city’s most spectacular setting, the Festival continues to be the summer gathering place for all of Chicago. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park is the official home of the Grant Park Music Festival, with free seats available for every concert. The Festival is led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Carlos Kalmar, along with Grant Park Chorus Director Christopher Bell, Grant Park Orchestral Association President and CEO Paul Winberg, and Board Chair Adam Grais.
