Thereza Lituma

Thereza Lituma is an accomplished vocalist currently serving as an alto with Chicago a cappella and as a chorister with Music of the Baroque, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Grant Park Music Festival. Notable performances include works by Bach, Handel, Verdi, and Mahler. In addition to performance, Thereza holds the position of Interim Director of Music Admissions and Music Admissions Coordinator at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As a Voice Fellow at Spoleto Festival USA, Thereza showcases talent in major works such as Haydn's Creation. Thereza's educational background includes a Master of Music in Voice Performance and Literature and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and Music Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, Thereza has experience as a booking manager for The Rives Brothers and has held various roles in admissions and program coordination within the music field.

Grant Park Music Festival

For nearly 90 years, the Grant Park Music Festival has been Chicago’s summer musical sensation, demonstrating that classical music performed by a world-class orchestra and chorus can have a transformative impact on the city. Showcased in the city’s most spectacular setting, the Festival continues to be the summer gathering place for all of Chicago. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park is the official home of the Grant Park Music Festival, with free seats available for every concert. The Festival is led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Carlos Kalmar, along with Grant Park Chorus Director Christopher Bell, Grant Park Orchestral Association President and CEO Paul Winberg, and Board Chair Adam Grais.
